The pages sub-grouped below are a range of ‘pervasive’, locative and integrated game/stories devised by me often in collaboration with other great writers and designers. Some are half and full day bonding Alternate Reality Games for higher ed training and transmedia development labs including LAMP, StoryLabs, BBC Innovation. Others that are not here are created for corporate internal or commercial pervasive games that have an ARG flavour.

2005 – The Time Slicer. A time travel experiment goes horribly wrong and teams have to rescue it’s creator. A 2.5 hour ARG for ABC LAMP lab created by Gary Hayes and Christy Dena

2006 – The Curse of AFTRS – A group of discarded film students take out mystical revenge on the Australian Film TV and Radio School with terrible consequences. Teams find out why and in the process discover a ceremony that can lift the curse. A 5 hour ARG for 50+ people created by Gary Hayes, Jackie Turnure and Christy Dena.

2006 – The Italian Connection – Why did two Italian brothers in the middle of last century Tasmania with a profitable granite business suddenly leave the area? A 4 hours ARG for 40+ Tasmanian LAMP participants created by Jackie Turnure and Gary Hayes

2006 – Ghosts of Milson’s Island – Once a prison and monastry, what bizarre events led to the closure and sealing of this north Sydney inlet island? A 3 hour ARG for 40+ LAMP participants on a closed island by Gary Hayes and Jackie Turnure

2007 – The Couran Cove Enigma – A mixed reality viewer allows to see 1000 years into the future and find out the reason the Couran Cove islands and most of Queensland is under water and who and what was responsible. A mixed reality ARG for 40+ LAMP participants on an island near Gold Coast by Jackie Turnure and Gary Hayes

2007 – The Zanchetta Brothers – Part Two of the Italian brothers disappearance from their Tasmanian pink granite business one stormy evening in 1933. A treasure hunt in real and virtual worlds uncover the truth. A 4 hours 2nd part ARG for 40+ Tasmanian LAMP participants created by Jackie Turnure and Gary Hayes

2008 – The Old Forest – What does 1840s witchcraft, a 1940s war orphanage and a lost book called Old Forest have in common? The frozen statues of locals and many other mysteries are uncovered by using the mixed reality viewer that allows you to see into the distant past. A 4.5 hour ARG for 40+ LAMP participants set in Victoria Mountains created by Gary Hayes (with writing from Matt Costello).

2009 – Safe Sets – One of Australia’s most prestigious films schools are hiding something? Why have six students disappeared and is there any truth in the fact they were accidentally or even purposefully ‘eradicated’? A full day ARG for 120+ students on their first day of curriculum created by Gary Hayes and Catherine Gleeson

2010 – Story Stealers – We have never been alone. Mysterious forces from a distant galaxy have been watching us, sampling our experiences, stealing our history, our stories. A recently discovered ritual will help us find out why? A full day ARG for 120+ students on their first day of curriculum created by Gary Hayes and Catherine Gleeson and AFTRS staff.
